Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered Showcased

D-Eagle sniping is back!

Today at the Sony E3  conference, Activision showed more of the remastered, fan favourite, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

Call of Duty 4 was first released in 2007 by Infinity Ward and instantly became one of the most beloved titles in the entire franchise. The story takes place in the year 2011, where a radical leader executes the president of an unnamed country in the Middle East and an ultranationalist movement starts a civil war in Russia. The conflicts are seen from the perspectives of a U.S. Force Reconnaissance Marine and a British SAS commando, and are set in various countries, such as the United Kingdom, the Middle East, Azerbaijan, Russia, and Ukraine.

The multiplayer portion of the game is where the game earned its stripes, featuring various game modes, killstreaks and containing a leveling system that allowed the player to unlock additional weapons, weapon attachments, and camouflage schemes as they advanced.

The Remaster will feature improved lighting, textures, and character models, it also promises to bring back the old school boots on ground gameplay Call of Duty fans originally fell in love with.

Modern Warfare originally released to critical acclaim with an aggregated score of 94% on both Game Rankings and Metacritic so it’ll be interesting if this remake will be welcomed with as much praise.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered will be available as a digital pre-order bonus with the Legacy, Legacy Pro, and Digital Deluxe editions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare on November 4th 2016.
