Shadow of Mordor Sequel Officially Announced!

The surprise hit of 2014 is getting a sequel!

After being leaked earlier this weekend, Middle Earth: Shadow of War has been officially announced by Warner Bros.

Set for release on August 22nd (US) and the 25th (UK), Shadow of War will be a follow up to 2014’s surprise hit ME: Shadow of Mordor.

The game will come to all the platforms! Including: Xbox One, Project Scorpio, Windows 10 PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro. Shadow War will also be an Xbox Play Anywhere title.

Shadow of War will see the return of Talion and everybody’s favorite Elven spirit, Celebrimbor. The two returning as the Bright Lord as they go behind enemy lines in an attempt to turn all of Mordor agains the Dark Lord, Sauron. Shadow of Mordor’s awesome Nemesis System will be expanded introducing all new stories of loyalty, betrayal and revenge! Exciting stuff indeed.

We’ll see the Nemesis System have impact to the entire world where the environments and characters are all shaped and effected by the player’s actions throughout the game.

“Monolith Productions continues to innovate by introducing deeper, more personalized gameplay experiences, coupled with authentic storytelling,” said David Haddad, President, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, he added “Middle-earth: Shadow of War truly drives the genre forward by taking the Nemesis System to new heights and allowing players to create their own personal journey within Middle-earth.
