The cast for Thor: Ragnarok was recently revealed and it’s a star-studded list, (Get it, STAR studded. I’m wasted around here) but the main focus is Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Mark Ruffalo as Hulk on a magical trip across space, during the end times for Asgard. Other than this bromantic adventure (sorry Tony) we didn’t really know what this film would be about or how much the long desired planet hulk would influence Ragnarok.
Thanks to JoBlo that may be about to change, they are reporting that:
“The film will definitely have the Planet Hulk element in it, operating as a kind of mash-up with the Ragnarok story”
How Thor and Hulk end up together or getting to the planet is unknown but a safe assumption is that Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster will be masterminding the battles on the planet.
Joblo go on to talk about the actual appearances of the characters within Ragnarok, most notable Hulk who, to the appeasement of fans, will be wearing the traditional shoulder plate synonymous with Planet Hulk. Thor is also set to get a new look with a shaved head for at least part of the movie. Valkyrie is to be noticeably different from her comic counterpart which will see her in war paint , which leads me to speculate she will be a warrior on the gladiator planet potentially doing battle with Hulk, but that may just be my imagination getting the best of me. This should all be considered rumour and speculation at this point.
Thor Ragnarok brings the thunder October 27th 2017
Finally we do have some interesting news regarding the villain of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. Which apparently will be none other than Paragon! The story was first broke by Comic Book Movie so its almost certain that she will be the villain. alAs to why and how or whether she will play into the larger connective thread of Phase 3 is still unknown. Guardians to is due out May 5th 2017
