Yooka-Laylee – E3 2016 Trailer

Expect 90's platforming fun

The E3 trailer for Yooka-Laylee has arrived.

Yooka-Laylee is an exploratory 3D platform game. It’s being developed by Playtonic Games, a group of several former key personnel from Rare during the Nintendo 64 era, as a spiritual successor to their work from that time period. The game is intended as a resurrection of the “collectathon” 3D platforming game genre of the late 1990’s and early 2000’s. Between them, Yooka and Laylee will boast an awesome arsenal of abilities built for platforming fun and unlocked with added freedom from the serpent salesman Trowzer.

On Playtonic’s official website they had this to say about the release:

“While we felt confident we could ship the game in October as originally projected in our Kickstarter, the Playtonic team has decided that it would prefer to add a few extra months’ polish to the game schedule.”

Yooka-Laylee will be coming to Xbox One, PS4, Wii U and Linux/Windows PC. Expect the game to arrive sometime in Q1 2017.
