System Shock Remaster Close to Kickstarter Goal

23 days remaining

The 1994 classic FPS System Shock is edging ever closer to its Remaster goals on Kickstarter so if you’re interested in supporting the project now might be the time to jump onboard.

System Shock was a  first-person action role-playing game developed by Looking Glass Technologies. The game was set aboard a space station called Citadel Station in the year 2072 and you played the role of a nameless hacker who attempts to hinder the plans of a malevolent artificial intelligence called SHODAN. As the title may suggest, Bioshock was a spiritual successor to the popular 90’s game and incorporated some of the same game mechanics such as finding audio logs to develop the story.

The developer behind the project Nightdive Studios is currently sitting on just under $800,000 with their goal being $900,000. There are however more goals beyond the initial target which offer to add more features such as enemy dismemberment and extra difficulties.

To get a digital copy of the game on the platform of your choice (Xbox One or PC) you only have to pledge $25 but should you pledge more you can earn rewards including access to a closed Beta. But hurry, as of today the project has 23 days left to run so if you are interested you might want to jump in while there is still time.

If you’re interested in trying the game before you back the project you can download a playable demo on steam, GOG or HumbleBundle.
